The Insele i1000 Homegrow is the largest 12 V DC-only solar-charger system in the Insele range, purpose-built for South Africa’s national rural-electrification roll-out. More than 10 000 units are already lighting remote homesteads, replacing dangerous candles and paraffin lamps with bright, efficient LED light. The kit combines a 150 W mono-/poly-crystalline panel, a 50 Ah lithium battery, six dimmable interior lamps, two floodlights with automatic day/night control, and a plug-and-play distribution module, giving households basic electricity “for the cost of sunshine.”
